Oh, my goodness, Ken heard about this little Italian restaurant in Tacoma about two weeks ago from a friend at work and friday night he said it’s date night get a sitter and let’s go check it out. So sitter came, we left and it didn’t take us long to find the place, Europe Bistro. At first glance I didn’t really think it looked like a super trendy spot, the parking sucked and there didn’t seem to be very many people for a Friday night, but the ambiance was awesome once we got inside. It really felt like you were eating dinner in someone’s home. It was warm, inviting, and the waiter was AWESOME. I don’t remember his name, but Ken wanted to hire him to be our personal waiter for any place we went.
We got the menus and I was totally impressed with their selection and easily found 5 dishes I would be willing to try. This is quite a feat since usually I can only find maybe one or two at most italian restaurants and I get the same thing every time we go back. But this time there were so many things that looked GOOD. Ken said the same thing. We enjoyed a great white wine with our pawns and pancetta app, then bread with rosemary infused olive oil. We finally made a choice from the menu.
Ken Decided on a rotini dish with a red sauce that had Crab in it. He said it was amazing and so rich he only was able to eat 1/2 of it. The portions were great too, the waiter said “its Italian portions, not french” .LOL. I chose the Gorgonzola Risotto with chicken and spinach. OH MY, it was so yummy and creamy, again huge portion. I only was able to eat about 1/2 too. We had a nice malbec to go with the dinner.
We skipped dessert this time, but said next time we go back we will not have an appetizer maybe split the entree and have dessert too. They looked amazing as well.
All in all a wonderful little restaurant with some great italian food, oh did I tell you they make all their own Pasta? they do every shape, made right there!! AMAZING!!
Thank you for reading and I would love to hear about any great places you have eaten recently, We are always looking for a good place to check out in Pierce county.
